GO Santa Cruz Downtown
The GO Santa Cruz program offers incentives to encourage downtown employees to choose options other than driving to get to work. If you work in the downtown district, you’re eligible to join GO Santa Cruz and earn rewards for taking alternative transportation, like biking, walking, carpooling or taking the bus to work. Just sign up, log your trips and earn rewards.
How does it work?
It's easy! Just follow these steps:

- Go to my.cruz511.org and sign up for a free account.
- Log your daily commute trips. You'll get 10 points for each trip, up to two trips per day.
- When you reach 250 points, you'll earn $10 in Downtown Dollars!
You can also track your carbon footprint reduction and compete against other riders to see who can make the biggest impact. So what are you waiting for? Start logging your commute trips today and get rewarded for being good to the planet!

Downtown dollars are like cash, but even better! You can use them to buy goods and services at participating businesses in Downtown Santa Cruz. And the best part is, you earn downtown dollars every time you commute sustainably using the bus, bike or carpool.
FREE METRO bus pass
Say goodbye to traffic jams and hello to free rides on the bus! All Downtown Santa Cruz employees get free EcoPass bus passes, so you can relax and enjoy your commute.
FREE BCycle Bike Share credit
GO Santa Cruz Downtown participants qualify for free BCycle rides (while supplies last).
FREE $10 Bike Link locker credit
If you're a cyclist, we've got you covered too. All GO Santa Cruz users get a $10 Bike Link credit so you can keep your bike safe and secure while you're at work. Check out our map of bike locker locations.
Emergency Ride Home
Stranded somewhere with a flat tire? Missed the bus home and can't wait? GO Santa Cruz participants qualify for TWO FREE rides home a year during an emergency.
FREE Bike Commute, Repair and Safety Workshops
If you're new to biking, Ecology Action can help you get started. They offer free workshops including Intro to E-Bikes, Bike Commuting 101 and Family Cycling.
GO BIKE! Downtown Incentive Program
City of Santa Cruz’s GO BIKE! Downtown E-Bike Rebate is designed to reduce barriers to biking and encourage more downtown workers to use bikes for transportation. GO BIKE! Applications re-open in July 2026.
