City of Santa Cruz’s GO BIKE! Downtown E-Bike Rebate is designed to reduce barriers to biking and encourage more downtown workers to use bikes for transportation. GO BIKE! Applications for GO BIKE! Downtown reopen on July 1.

The GO BIKE! Downtown E-Bike Rebate program provides eligible applicants with either a $500 base rebate or an $1000 income-qualified rebate. Rebates are redeemed at time of sale and purchase price will be reduced by the amount on the voucher.

Before You Apply

The GO BIKE! Downtown program is for people who work in Downtown Santa Cruz within the downtown parking district or for the City of Santa Cruz. If you live or work in Santa Cruz County, you may be eligible for the Santa Cruz County GO BIKE! Incentive program.

Application Process

There are three steps to take before receiving your voucher:

Please complete the application below. Your application will be processed by Ecology Action for eligibility.

If approved, you will receive an email from Ecology Action to watch a bike safety training video. You must complete the bike safety training to receive your rebate.

Complete a training quiz and baseline survey.

Once you complete the training, you will receive an email that you can use to verify your voucher at a participating bike shop. Please also bring an ID to confirm your name matches the voucher in the system.
