Rethink Your Commute
Are you looking for a way to save money, reduce your carbon footprint, and get some exercise? If so, GO Santa Cruz County is the program for you!
GO Santa Cruz County is a voluntary commute trip reduction program that rewards commuters for choosing sustainable transportation options, such as walking, biking, carpooling, and taking the bus. To participate, simply create an account and start tracking your trips. For every trip you take, you'll earn points that can be redeemed for rewards, such as gift cards to local businesses, transportation passes, and more.
How does it work?
It's easy! Just follow these steps:
- Go to my.cruz511.org and sign up for a free account.
- Join the GO Santa Cruz County commuter network.
- If you work in downtown Santa Cruz, choose GO Santa Cruz Downtown*.
- Log your daily commute trips. You'll get 10 points for each trip, up to two trips per day.
- When you reach 250 points, you'll get a $10 reward!
You can also track your carbon footprint reduction and compete against other riders to see who can make the biggest impact. So what are you waiting for? Start logging your commute trips today and get rewarded for being good to the planet!

How can I earn rewards?
Earn up to $100 for Your Smart Commute
Get a $10 e-gift card for every 25 sustainable commute trips you take.
Each time you log a walk, bike, carpool, transit, vanpool, or telework trip, you earn 10 points towards this reward. A maximum of 2 trips per day count towards your points. Once you accumulate 250 points, you can claim a $10 e-gift card. If you're feeling generous, you can donate your reward to a non-profit organization of your choice.
For every trip you log within a month, you're also automatically entered to win a $25 Visa gift card that you can use to buy all sorts of fun stuff at local businesses!

Commuter Workshops
Our workshops are free and open to everyone. So whether you're a seasoned commuter or just getting started, we have something for you. Our workshops are led by League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructors and cover a variety of topics, including: Urban Bicycling, Introduction to E-bikes, Bike Commuting 101.

The City of Santa Cruz offers incentives and rewards to employees who commute to work in the Downtown Parking District. The money comes from parking fees.
